A man has been arrested after a report of an assault against a woman.
Police responded to a report on April 2 of an assault in progress around 11:10 a.m. near the intersection of Main Street East and Kitchen Road South.
They arrested and charged a 36-year-old man with assault, causing a disturbance, and failure to comply with a probation order.
He remains in custody awaiting a court hearing on Thursday.
