A real European circus is coming to Barrie and it's nothing like you'd expect

If you've never seen a proper European-style circus, this is your chance. Nouveau Cirque Mondial makes its Barrie debut at RioCan Georgian Mall from May 1 to 10, and tickets are on sale now.

This is the French company's first-ever North American tour, and Barrie is one of the stops. That alone makes it worth paying attention to.

• Alix Duclos Conchard — soaring through the air on aerial silks
• Randy Jose Leru Bell — a former Olympic gymnast from the Rio 2016 Games, performing gravity-defying Chinese Pole alongside castmates Andres Manuel Ortiz Bell and Yankiel Bello Balmaceda, plus a powerful hand-balancing display
• A lightning-fast juggler, a heart-stopping roller skating duo performing on a tiny platform, and an iridescent bubble artist rounding out the experience
