A 34-year-old Barrie man was treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital after city police responded to a Mary Street address downtown around 1:45 Tuesday morning about an injured person.
Police began a search of the area that led to a residence on Maple Avenue, where officers detained three people, who were later released.
"The victim has been uncooperative with investigators," police said in a news release.
He has since been released from the hospital.
Police add that this is an isolated incident involving individuals who are believed to know each other.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
