An 88-year-old Barrie man has been charged in connection with a motorcycle collision that killed the rider in the city's south end in June.
Police say the motorcycle was westbound on Big Bay Point Road, approaching Hurst Drive, when a vehicle travelling eastbound briefly paused on a yellow light before turning left at the intersection.
The vehicle collided with the motorcycle, and the rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man has been charged with careless driving causing death.
Investigators are reminding drivers to be sure the intersection is clear before making a turn on a yellow light. Police say if you're already in the intersection when the light changes to red, wait until it's safe to complete the turn.

A 63-year-old Barrie man is dead following a collision involving a motorcycle and a car in the city's south end Friday afternoon.
Barrie Police say the crash happened just after 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of Big Bay Point Road and Hurst Drive.
Police say witnesses immediately rushed to help and provided first aid, but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car remained at the scene and was not seriously injured.
Big Bay Point Road and Hurst Drive remain closed for the investigation.

Paramedics have told Barrie 360 that one person was pronounced deceased in a collision in the city's south end on Friday afternoon.
No one else was transported to hospital.
The collision involved a motorcycle and another vehicle in the area of Big Bay Point Road and Hurst Drive.
Police said they expect the intersection to remain closed for several hours as they investigate.
