Teen seriously hurt after e-scooter crash in Barrie

A teen is recovering after an e-scooter crash in Barrie.

Police responded around 1 p.m. Sunday to a collision between an e-scooter and a motor vehicle in the area of Little Avenue and Firman Drive.

Police say a 15-year-old boy riding the scooter was transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Little Avenue was closed between Huronia Road and Yonge Street for the investigation and reopened around 3:30 p.m.

Police have not released any information on what may have caused the collision.
