Barrie Police announce fee structure changes for some services

News Release - Barrie Police Service

On June 15, 2023, the Barrie Police Services Board approved service fee changes to several services provided and managed by the Records and Information Management Services of the Barrie Police Service.
Effective July 1, 2023, the fee for ink fingerprinting will increase to $67.00. Please note, that ink fingerprinting is by appointment only and anyone requiring this service is asked to call 705-725-7025 ext. 2141.
Also coming into effect on July 1, 2023, in relation to requests for motor vehicle collision reports and general occurrence reports, if witness statements or officers notes are requested, there will be an additional fee applied as follows:

  • Existing $45.00 for motor vehicle collision report or $50.00 for general occurrence report, and:
    • Additional $45.00 for investigating officers’ notes (1 set)
    • Additional $45.00 for any related witness statements (total)

 There is one last change that has been approved and effective immediately, the Barrie Police Service is pleased to announce a reduced rate for non-volunteer criminal record checks for those over the age of 60. Previously, the fee for this service was $52.00. The new rate for non-volunteer criminal record checks for 60+ is $32.00.
