Provincial police have charged a Barrie man hours after he allegedly committed an armed robbery at a convenience store in Penetanguishene.
Southern Georgian Bay OPP say officers responded to the report of a robbery at a shop on Main Street, where a man had allegedly displayed an edged weapon and demanded money from an employee.
Officers arrived at the scene and arrested a 30-year-old man from Barrie, charging him with robbery with a weapon and uttering threats.
He was held for a bail hearing, which is expected Tuesday in Midland.
