A 23-year-old Barrie man has been charged in connection with shootings that occurred earlier this year at synagogues in Toronto and Vaughan.
York Regional Police say that just before midnight on March 6, gunfire damaged the front doors of a synagogue in Vaughan in the area of Clark Avenue West and York Hill Boulevard.
Two occupants, who were inside at the time of the shooting, were not injured.
A few minutes after midnight on March 7, Toronto Police responded to another synagogue shooting near Bathurst Street and Glencairn Avenue
No one was inside at the time and there were no injuries.

Police say the accused had previously been charged in connection with a shooting at a residence on March 25 in Vaughan.
He is now facing another charge in connection with a shooting that occurred March 19 in Aurora.
The suspect is facing multiple charges, mostly gun-related, including four counts of reckless discharge of a firearm.
Two other suspects, both 17, were arrested in May in connection with the synagogue shootings and were charged with a combined total of 15 offences related to the incidents.
Police added that there are no outstanding suspects related to the synagogue shootings, though the investigation remains ongoing.
