A rumble at the Orillia waterfront has resulted in charges against a 47-year-old woman.
Around 5:20 Sunday afternoon, provincial police say they responded to a report of a disturbance on Lightfoot Drive near Mississaga Street East.
Police say witnesses told them there had been a fight between two people, and one of them was pushed into Lake Simcoe.
Bystanders and Orillia Fire rescued the woman from the water, and she was administered first aid before being taken to a local hospital, where she remains in stable condition.
After a short foot pursuit, the suspect, who is from Orillia, was charged with aggravated assault, resisting a peace officer, and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
