A moose made its way to Midland on Thursday morning and is possibly the same one that was making the rounds in nearby Victoria Harbour a few days ago.
The moose was spotted in the area of the waterfront, including at the marina.
The Town of Midland posted to social media late in the morning that the moose was safely tranquilized and is being transported to Crown land by the Ministry of Natural Resources.
"Thank you to all involved in achieving a safe resolution for both the moose and the public!" the Town posted on Facebook.
On Tuesday, a moose, nicknamed Elliot by the Ontario Provincial Police, made itself known in Collingwood by strolling on several trails and in neighbourhoods.
Elliot was tranquilized by the MNR that day.
According to the OPP, the animal was to be relocated to a more suitable habitat farther north.
