Provincial police have arrested and charged three individuals after a significant seizure of drugs, firearms, and other goods in Orillia on Wednesday.
Orillia OPP say the seizures come through a summer drug trafficking investigation its community street crime unit (CSCU) carried out at two addresses on West Street.
Just after 5:30 p.m., with the assistance of Orillia General Law Enforcement (GLE) Officers (GLE), and the Muskoka CSCU, two search warrants were executed, and three people were taken into custody.
Police say a quantity of suspected cocaine, fentanyl, hydromorphone tablets, as well as over $20,000 in Canadian currency, and two handguns were seized as a result of the search.

The three suspects from Orillia, a 19-year-old man, 36-year-old man, and 60-year-old woman, were each charged with five counts relating to their possession of firearms.
The teenager was given three additional charges relating to possession of fentanyl, hydromorphone and cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, while the other two suspects were also charged with two counts of possession of proceeds of crime.
All three were held in custody for a bail hearing on Thursday in Orillia.
