Concerns from the public about recreational shooting in Georgian Bay Township have led to charges against five men from the Greater Toronto Area.

Bracebridge OPP say officers were conducting patrols along Tower Road on Sept. 26 when they charged the men with disobeying a notice under the Public Lands Act.

The act governs the use and management of public lands and forests in Ontario.

OPP say they take firearm incidents very seriously and will not tolerate behaviour that puts the public at risk.
