Three people treated for smoke inhalation following fire in vacant Orillia business

The Orillia Fire Department is investigating a blaze that occurred in a vacant downtown business.

Crews were called to 33 Mississaga Street West around 6:30 on Monday morning.

Deputy Fire Chief Chris Ferry says the fire was in a storefront that is being renovated for a new business.

"Three people from an adjoining building went to the hospital for smoke inhalation and have since been released," Ferry said.

Rama Fire also assisted on the scene.

There is no damage total.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
