Pedestrian struck by vehicle and airlifted to trauma centre; suspect sought by Barrie police

Barrie police are investigating after they say a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre with serious injuries this morning.

Police say the fail-to-remain collision happened at 1:45 a.m. near Alliance Boulevard and Bell Farm Road.

Officers say a 62-year old Barrie man was the victim.

No description of the suspect vehicle.
