Two suspects are being sought after Barrie police say they skipped the bill at a restaurant - but left behind release documents from prior charges in the day.
Officers were contacted by the Fairview Road restaurant on Monday at 8:45 p.m.
"Police learned that a male and female attended the restaurant and ordered food and drinks which they consumed," officers wrote in a release on Tuesday.
"Through the course of the evening, the couple consumed a significant number of alcoholic beverages and when they requested more, they were politely told that they could no longer be served due to their level of intoxication. This enraged the patrons and when their bill arrived, they scoffed at it and simply got up and walked out."
The server was cleaning the couple's table while waiting for police when they discovered the suspects left behind documentation identifying who they were.
"The suspects, a 41-year-old male and a 42-year-old female, who are both of no fixed address in Barrie, were earlier charged by Barrie Police for an incident that had taken place in the afternoon and left behind their release documents," officers said.
Barrie police were unable to locate the couple after they left the restaurant.
Warrants are out for their arrest for food and lodging fraud.
