Huronia West OPP have laid charges regarding a fatal crash in Clearview Township back in September.

Police responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at 3-4 Sideroad Sunnidale and Concession Road 9 Sunnidale on September 23 just before 8:00 a.m.

"A 31-year-old female passenger from the Township of Clearview was pronounced deceased," OPP wrote in a release on Wednesday.

"The driver of one of the vehicles was transported by Air Ornge to a Toronto trauma hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. An infant passenger was transported by Air Ornge to a Toronto trauma hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Multiple other passengers involved in the collision, including another child passenger, were transported to a local hospital for minor injuries."

OPP say an investigation revealed the accused was driving 173 km per hour in an 80 km per hour zone during poor weather conditions, failing to stop at a stop sign, and subsequently impacting another vehicle.

On Tuesday, December 19, a 33-year-old from Adjala-Tosorontio Township was arrested and charged with:
