Barrie police executed a search warrant at a Madelaine Drive home in the city's south end on Thursday afternoon as part of an ongoing investigation and seized a vehicle that was searched at police headquarters.
"The investigation, which focused on the trafficking of a narcotic, resulted in police seizing cocaine that had an estimated street value of $13,000 as well as the seizure of a significant amount of Canadian currency," police stated in a news release on Friday.
A 23-year-old Barrie man has been charged with drug-related offences and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
He was to appear for a bail hearing on Friday.
