Arrests made in BB gun shootings in Coldwater including shattered school bus window

OPP upgrade charges after driver dies of injuries in Highway 12 crash near Gambridge

Orillia OPP have charged a pair of Severn Township teens with weapons offences resulting from BB guns being fired in Coldwater earlier this month.

On Feb. 3, police say they responded to a report of two youths with a weapon on Gray Street.

"Officers attended the scene and discovered the suspects had been firing a BB gun, damaging property, and uttering threats," OPP said in a news release on Thursday.

Through further investigation, police said the suspects were also charged in connection with the window of a school bus being shot with a BB gun and broken on the same street in January.

There were no injuries.

An 18-year-old and a 15-year-old have been charged with the following:

  • Pointing a firearm
  •   2 counts of Mischief
  •  Possession Imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose
  •   Common Nuisance - endangering life
