Fire crews rescue several animals from fire at Barrie home

The cause of a house fire on Henry Street in Barrie is under investigation.

A fire department spokesperson tells Barrie 360 that crews were called to the residence in the area of Anne Street near Highway 400 around 6:30 on Saturday evening.

The occupants of the home were not there at the time, though several animals were rescued.

Damages are undetermined, according to the spokesperson, nor could they say whether the residence had working smoke alarms.
