Buskers welcomed back to downtown Barrie

The Barrie Emerging Musicians Program is looking for artists for the 2020 season and has put out a call for auditions at the Barrie Public Library.

Auditions will take place on February 18th where they will attempt to accommodate walk-ins but it is recommended you book an appointment here. The callback weekend is scheduled for March 28th and 29th which includes a live performance audition, video interview, and professional headshots.

This is a volunteer-based musician program but if selected you will be permitted to collect tips and sell branded merchandise during your allotted times. Each performer must complete a minimum of ten shifts and also attend meetings scheduled by the City of Barrie or the Ontario Musicians Cooperative.

More information about the program can be found here.
