Celebrate International Women's Day at the Empowerment Luncheon, in support of the Women & Children's Shelter of Barrie.
The Women & Children’s Shelter of Barrie has been providing shelter and support services to abused women and children since 1981. The agency consists of a 27-bed crisis shelter along with Outreach services onsite. Approximately 1,000 women and children are assisted by the agency annually. In addition to shelter, staff provide individual and group counselling, legal information and support, court support, information about violence against women, referrals to other community and social services, and public education in the community.
Join the Empowerment Luncheon virtually for a special live presentation and moderated Q & A discussion from the Keynote Speaker, Rose Pellar, who is a Life Change Coach and a Divorce Lawyer with JMS Law in Barrie. This presentation aims to motivate women to take charge of their lives and to strike forward on the path to re-writing the story of their lives.
Honour and celebrate the woman you are or demonstrate your appreciation for a woman in your workplace, family or circle of friends by offering to treat them. Lunch this year is provided by FEAST Catering & Events and will be delivered safely to your door (Barrie only. A drive-thru service will be offered for anyone outside the city) along with a complimentary gift bag filled with local goodies.
The Empowerment Luncheon takes place on March 8 from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and tickets are $75.
