Dave Chappelle attacked on stage during LA show

Dave Chappelle was attacked onstage during a performance in Los Angeles.

The comedian was at the Hollywood Bowl for his “Netflix is a Joke Special” when a man in the crowd rushed on stage and tried to attack him.

The assailant was eventually corralled by security.

Police say the suspect was armed with a replica gun that ejects a knife blade.

Chappelle wasn’t injured, but the suspect suffered superficial injuries while being detained.

After the incident, it took Chappelle a while to compose himself, and he thanked his friend and colleague Jamie Foxx who helped security subdue the culprit.

A few moments after the incident, fellow comedian Chris Rock joined Chappelle onstage and asked, "was that Will Smith?”

Smith slapped rock last month during the academy awards.

Roku’s released the teaser trailer for “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.”

It’s our first peak at the movie, starring Daniel Radcliffe as Yankovic, the beloved polka playing, hawaiian shirt wearing, musical parody master.

The movie’s synopsis reads:

The “untold true story” of Yankovic, documenting “Weird Al’s” rise to fame with early hits like “Eat It” and “Like a Surgeon” — as well as his “torrid celebrity love affairs and famously depraved lifestyle.”

The mockumentary also stars Rainn Wilson as Dr. Demento, and Evan Rachel Wood as Madonna.

Roku plans to release it this fall.

One thing for sure... This soundtrack will be amazing!

Meg Ryan makes a return to Rom-Com

For the first time in nearly twenty years, Meg Ryan is starring in a romantic comedy.

She directs and stars in "What Happens Later" with David Duchovny.

The two play a pair of long-lost exes who get snowed in at an airport overnight.

The logline for the film says

"What if late one snowy night you came face to face with someone from your long ago? Someone who once held your secrets, because once, long ago, that person held your heart."

Ryan's appeared in dozens of films in the late 80s and 90s, including "When Harry Met Sally," "You've Got Mail," and "Sleepless in Seattle."

Filming of "What Happens Later" starts this year.
