A VHS tape of "Back to the Future" has sold at auction for $75 thousand.

Although it wasn't just any old copy hiding in your box of old VHS and Beta's.

This copy was owned by none-other than Tom Wilson, who fans of the franchise know as Biff Tannen.

Originally, he put the 1986 copy on e-bay, but after a huge response, he went a different route and contacted Heritage auctions in Texas to do a proper auction.

Reports say a collector from New York eventually got the winning bid.

The auction house says this is "the highest price ever paid at auction for a sealed, graded VHS tape."

Wilson also auctioned copies of the franchise's sequels, but no word on how much those fetched.
