A new statute of Heavy Metal icon Lemmy Kilmister unveiled at a festival in France reportedly contains some of his ashes.

When the Motorhead frontman died in 2015, a statue was made in his honour at the metal festival " Hellfest."

Unfortunately, the statute started to crumble, and a new one has been put up in its place. The updated sculpture is said to enshrine some of Kilmister's ashes.

The newest one is on the left.

Its official unveiling takes place during the festival in Clisson, France, on June 23rd, when bandmates Mikkey Dee and Phil Campbell pay tribute to him.

The band played the first Hellfest in 2006 and every year until Kilmister's death.

It's not the first time his ashes have been used in memorabilia. Last year it was revealed some of his ashes were encased in bullets and sent to his closest friends.
