Derek Jeter says he never gave goodie bags to his one-night stands.
The rumour, among many others, about the MLB star's love life is addressed during a new ESPN Docuseries, "The Captain."
In 2011, the New York Post released an article alleging the Hall of Famer would send his one-night stands home in a limo, complete with a gift basket that included a signed baseball.
One report alleged he gave the same woman the parting gift twice because he forgot he had hooked up with her before.
Thanks to everyone involved with #TheCaptain and @Tribeca for making our debut one to remember. Looking forward to sharing this with you all on 7/18 on @espn. pic.twitter.com/Pyuz36mzZw

In the film, Jeter addresses the rumour saying, "it never happened."
"Yeah, I read the article. You see it, and then it's like, how the f**^ did people come up with this? You know that's it. And who would believe this shit? And you believed it!"
"I remember being at a Starbucks, and there's some random guy behind me, and he says, 'Hey, I just want to let you know that I'm giving out gift baskets because you did.' And I turned around and said, 'You're a f*&#&^g idiot!' and the look on his face… like, did he think I was gonna say, 'Yeah, good job, man!'"
The seven-part docuseries will cover a huge portion of Jeter's life, from his younger days to his time with the Yankees.
It premieres on July 18 on ESPN.
