Nominees for the 80th Golden Globes have been announced.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the group that runs the awards, is attempting a comeback after last year's controversy led to the ceremony's cancellation.
In 2021, A Los Angeles Times investigation revealed that the group had no black members in addition to other claims about the lack of diversity in the organization.
The ceremony will return live telecast on January 10, 2023, on NBC, but it remains to be seen if it will be welcomed back.
Nominee Brendan Fraser already stated he would not attend the ceremony.
In 2018, Fraser said a Hollywood Foreign Press Association member and former president of the organization behind the Globes groped him.
Last year, Tom Cruise, a former Golden Globe winner and current nominee returned his awards after allegations about the group surfaced.
Nominees were announced this morning, with the film "The Banshees of Inisherin" leading with eight nominations, and "Everything Everywhere All at Once" follows with six nominations.
