Luther fans rejoice!
After nearly ten years of talking about a Luther movie, it's finally done.
Netflix released a teaser trailer for "Luther: The Fallen Sun", which will see Idris Alba return to the title role, this time in movie form.
The trailer doesn't tell us much, except its release date. It hits theatres February 24 and on Netflix March 10.
It picks up where season 5 of the British crime series left off, as DCI John Luther sets out to finish one of his biggest missions.
Spoiler alert if you haven't seen season 5.
A synopsis of the film reads:
"In Luther: The Fallen Sun - an epic continuation of the award-winning television saga reimagined for film - a gruesome serial killer is terrorizing London while brilliant but disgraced detective John Luther (Idris Elba) sits behind bars.
"Haunted by his failure to capture the cyber psychopath who now taunts him, Luther decides to break out of prison to finish the job by any means necessary."
Now please tell me there's a way they can bring back Ruth Wilson for the role of Alice?!
