Bad news for Bill Skarsgard fans: there are no plans for him to return as Pennywise in the upcoming "It" prequel series for HBO.

Plans for the horror prequel called "Welcome to Derry" will examine how Pennywise, the demonic monster, came to Derry, Maine, to torture the resident children every 27 years.

In 2017 and 2019, Skarsgard played the evil clown in "IT' and "IT: Chapter 2" respectively.

His performance was an immediate hit as he added a new level of terror to the classic character, but as of right now, he's hung up his red balloon.

During an interview on Jake's Takes, he explained, "As of now, I'm not currently involved with it."

"If someone else gets to do it, my advice would be, Do it your own. Make it your own. Have fun with it. What I found pleasurable about that character is how abstract he was."

He continues, "If you start reading Stephen King's cocaine-binged book, you just go, 'What the hell?' There are so many weird tantrums and abstractions that you can decipher."

Fans are upset over the news, but seeing what the showrunners come up with is exciting.
