Did you know they were still doing this?
Before becoming the biggest streaming giant in the world, Netflix was in the DVD delivery business. They would mail your requested tv shows and films in their signature red envelope to your home.
Even though they have long been streaming on its digital platform, the company has maintained their mail service for 25 years, but that will soon end.
Netflix has announced they'll send their last DVD on September 29.
The reason is no surprise, as requests have been shrinking.
In a post, Netflix's CEO said the DVD service had entered its "final season."
"Those iconic red envelopes changed the way people watched shows and movies at home – and they paved the way for the shift to streaming."
April is #NationalHumorMonth. Let's round up some of the funniest mail we've gotten from members...

First up, dogs. Sometimes they eat your homework, sometimes they eat your envelopes! pic.twitter.com/lHLeFLowQy
I often got DVDs delivered back in the day, but it would take me far too long to mail them back when finished.
But seeing what arrived in your mailbox on a Friday night was always a good time.
On September 29th, 2023, we will send out the last red envelope. It has been a true pleasure and honor to deliver movie nights to our wonderful members for 25 years. Thank you for being part of this incredible journey, including this final season of red envelopes. pic.twitter.com/9lAntaL2ww
