Like his character Victor Newman, actor Eric Braeden is one tough mother.

The long-time "Young and the Restless" star has revealed he has cancer.

In a lengthy Facebook video, Braedon told fans that his problem started a few months ago after he had a knee replacement.

The 82-year-old explained, "I began to have problems with my prostate. I hate to be so personal, but I think this may be good for some older guys who may or may not listen to this."

He explained he couldn't go pee and had a catheter put in to relieve some pressure.

Eventually, a urologist discovered cancer.

He's undergone surgery which removed the cancer and helped him go to the bathroom, but he still has high-grade cancer cells and has begun immunotherapy treatments.

"So that's where I am right now. I'm a little under the weather, but not really much," he said.

Throughout this, he has continued working, saying "I enjoy. It distracts me. I love acting. I love knowing that I entertain people. I love your support; means a lot. So whenever you have someone in the family who goes through this, support them. It can work out … Nowadays, there's so many advancements in cancer treatment. You can survive it."

He stressed, "This bastard ain't going to get me. I'm gonna get it," I'll be in top form again soon."

Braeden has played the iconic Victor Newman on the soap opera "The Young and the Restless" for over 40 years.
