Jeopardy contestants miss Betty White question and viewers are ticked

What's Trending with MJ
Betty White on the Golden Girls

People are calling it a crime against trivia.

On a recent episode of Jeopardy, all three players incorrectly answered the question, "In 1986 she won an Emmy Award for playing Rose Nylund on The Golden Girls."

One contestant answered, "Who is McClanahan?"

The second to guess replied: "Who is Bea Arthur?"

The third contestant was too stumped to take a guess. Host Mayim Bialik eventually put them out of their misery with the answer "Who is Betty White?"

The blunder had people collectively throwing their remotes at the tv, and complaining the only way we know how, on social media.

One person wrote, "I don't care what generation these contestants are from … not knowing Betty White played Rose on The Golden Girls is a crime against trivia."

Another wrote, "How did none of the Jeopardy! contestants know Betty White played Rose on The Golden Girls? Is there any hope at all for America?"

It's not uncommon to get mad at Jeopardy blunders, but this one stings.

Betty White played the sweet Rose Nylund from 1985 to 1992. She died on December 31, 2021, at the age of 99.
