Nicolas Cage is playing himself in a slasher video game "Dead by Daylight"

Nicholas Cage has done countless movies throughout his career; now, he's in a video game.

The Oscar winner is in an upcoming multiplayer video game, "Dead by Daylight: Nicolas Cage."

The game's developer, Behaviour Interactive, dropped a teaser trailer for the upcoming slasher game, which features Nicolas Cage being, well, very Nicolas Cage.

They captioned the post, "It's the performance of a lifetime. Dead by Daylight: Nicolas Cage. Coming to a realm near you. Learn more on July 5th."

In it, Cage says, "There is nothing more powerful than imagination. It can shape the fabric of reality, transforming everything you think you may know."

The best part is that he'll be playing himself, not a new character in the Dead By Daylight universe.

Once the news dropped, fans were confused by the randomness, but no one hated it.
