The Foo Fighters new drummer is someone people in the music industry know well, session drummer Josh Freese
The 50-year-old is renowned as one of the top session drummers in the business, and is well-known and respected in the music community.
His resume is unreal, having worked with Devo, Guns N' Roses, Nine Inch Nails and Weezer, Sting, Evanescence, and Offspring. He also played with the Foo Fighters during both Taylor Hawkins tribute concerts.
Freese is taking over for Taylor Hawkins, the band's longtime drummer who passed away in March 2022.

The band made the announcement during their live-streamed concert event on Sunday, "Foo Fighters: Preparing Music for Concerts."
Live Nation's Veeps platform hosted the event, and the band had a little fun with the audience beforehand.
Before the big reveal , some big-name drummers, including Chad Smith from Red Hot Chili Peppers showed up at their studio saying a white Mercedes was blocking his car.
Then Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee arrived with P.F. Chang's delivery.
Finally, Tool drummer Danny Carey shows up with some dogs, telling them, "I groomed your poodles for you."
After the interruptions, we hear Josh Freese in the background asking if they can play music, and they all start jamming.
