"I've spent my entire life keeping the secrets of men; my body aches from carrying the weight of their sins."
Megan Fox has written a book of poetry that she hopes will inspire others to "take back their happiness and their identity."
The 37-year-old actress will release "Pretty Boys Are Poisonous," a book of poems she's written, "in an attempt to excise the illness that had taken root in me because of my silence."
The actress famously spoke out against misogynist attitudes in the film industry long before the #metoo movement.
A statement from by publishing house Simon and Schuster says the poetry collection will showcase Fox's "wicked humour throughout a heartbreaking and dark collection of poetry."
"Over the course of more than seventy poems, Fox chronicles all the ways in which we fit ourselves into the shape of the ones we love, even if it means losing ourselves in the process."
The book 192-page book of poems will be released on November 7.
