Ladies, it's time to celebrate February 13, Leslie Knop style.
The character from Parks and Recreation brought us the concept of Galentine's Day in 2010, and it's been increasing in popularity since.
The concept is that every year, on the Day before Valentine's Day, you get together with the important women in your life to have some fun and share laughs. Or cry, too; that's what we're here for.
According to Leslie Knope, "You leave your husbands and boyfriends at home and kick it with your gal pals breakfast style. Ladies celebrating ladies."
A good example of how to celebrate is a fun breakfast out. This year's Galentine's Day also falls on Pancake Tuesday, so go nuts.
If breakfast doesn't work, find a way to get together and have some laughs. It's supposed to be a fun and easy get-together, making it special.
It's important to know that this isn't anti-Valentine's Day. People in relationships can celebrate too; you just have to leave them at home for this one.
