Oprah Winfrey is further opening up the discussion about weight loss drugs in a new television special
"An Oprah Special: Shame. Blame and the Weight Loss Revolution" will discuss the weight loss drugs such as Ozempic, Mounjaro and Wegovy.
The show is filmed in front of a live audience, featuring medical experts, pharmaceutical representatives, and everyday people.
In a statement, Oprah said "It is a very personal topic for me and for the hundreds of millions of people impacted around the globe who have for years struggled with weight and obesity. This special will bring together medical experts, leaders in the space and people in the day-to-day struggle to talk about health equity and obesity with the intention to ultimately release the shame, judgment and stigma surrounding weight."
Oprah has said
Late last year, Oprah said she had used weight loss drugs and recently stepped down from the Weightwatchers board of directors.
The special will air on March 18th on A-B-C.
