Midland Kids Fishing Derby

The Kids Fishing Derby is always free of charge for all local children up to and including the age of 16 years.

Registration takes place in the morning at 9:00am at the Town of Midland booth beside the Harbour Office at 165 King Street. Each angler receives free bait, a hot dog, juice box, and all participants receive a prize!

For the 2024 Kids Fishing Derby, we have six bikes donated by our generous sponsors. The event is for fun, catching a fish is a bonus! All local children who register and participate will be entered into the draw to win the donated bikes and a helmet. Participants must be in attendance to win.

We have the OPP bike rodeo joining us, the Coast Guard, Midland Fire Department with their mascot Sparky, fun loving characters Bluey as well as Skye from Paw Patrol, and face painting.

This event is always well attended and is very much enjoyed by all local children.
