Provincial police say they are conducting a death investigation in Barrie.
On Friday just before 7 p.m., OPP Highway Safety Division posted on X saying they have an "active investigation" in the Bayfield Street and Highway 400 area.
They then posted that westbound Bayfield and the ramp to Highway 400 southbound were closed.
Later at 11:30 p.m., OPP reported that they were conducting a death investigation.
Police say there is no risk to public safety.
Roads were reopened in the area.
