Wasaga Beach Fire

Firefighters tackled a motorhome blaze in Wasaga Beach Sunday evening - no one was inside at the time and no injuries occurred.

Fire Chief Michael McWilliam says they were called just before 7:30 p.m., to the area of 22nd Street and Baker Street.

McWilliam says a Class C motorhome caught fire, with the damage total being around $10,000 at the most.

He also said it's undetermined if there were working smoke alarms.

According to McWilliam, two cottages and a wooden fence were damaged from the radiant heat.

He noted that the cause is also undetermined, and is being investigated by OPP.
