One man is dead, a woman has life-threatening injuries following Bracebridge shooting

Police say this is an isolated incident

A shooting in Bracebridge has left a 56-year-old man dead and a 52-year-old woman in a Toronto trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.

Just before two on Wednesday afternoon, OPP responded to reports of gunshots on Stoneleigh Road. Two people were found with apparent gunshot wounds.

Investigators believe this is an isolated incident and there are no concerns for public safety.

The Bracebridge OPP Crime Unit is continuing the investigation under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
