This is a massive role reversal.

A woman found an email in her spam folder claiming she won over $200,000, and it was legit.

The 54-year-old Michigan resident won the BIG CA$H Second Chance Jackpot prize from the Michigan Lottery and claimed her prize after finally checking her spam folder.

She was selected in a random draw on July 9. She had been earning "BIG CA$H Second Chance" drawing entries by playing certain online lottery games.

In an interview with the lottery, she explained, "I didn't know that by playing certain games online, I was earning entries into a second-chance drawing, so I was confused when I came across an email from the Michigan Lottery in my spam folder saying I'd won a $207,199 BIG CA$H Second Chance jackpot prize."

Because you can never be too careful with money offers, she said, she proceeded cautiously.

"After looking into it, I figured out how I had earned the entries, and then I checked three different times to make sure the email was real. This win is so exciting and couldn't have come at a better time!"

She plans to pay bills and invest with her extra cash.

Remember, always be very cautious with emails about money. Don't give out personal information.

Please do your homework to make sure it's a legitimate offer.
