In response to a "potential threat" on Friday afternoon in the area of County Road 90 between County Road 56 and 9th Line in Springwater Township,there was a large Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) presence inluding the emergency response team, canine unit and the tactics and rescue unit.
During the investigation, the area was contained and there was no threat to public safety, police said. One individual was taken into custody, and OPP cleared the scene by 4 p.m., about 2.5 hours after officers converged on the area.
More details will be released if appropriate, police added.
