(Update) 4 suspects sought in reported armed robbery at Georgian Mall

Barrie Police have confirmed they are looking for four suspects in connection with a reported armed robbery at Georgian Mall, which they say occurred around 8 p.m. on Monday.

Police say the suspects smashed glass display cases at a jewellery store and fled in a stolen white SUV. One person suffered minor injuries and was attended to on scene. Investigators did not disclose in their update on Tuesday morning whether the suspects made off with anything from the store.

"Although it's believed that no shots were fired, a firearm may have been seen in the possession of the suspects," said Mays in an email to Barrie 360 on Monday evening.

"The Barrie Police Criminal Investigations Division is continuing to investigate this occurrence, and more details will be provided as the investigation progresses" according to police.
