OPP charge impaired driver after early-morning traffic stop on Highway 11

An early-morning traffic stop on Highway 11 in Oro-Medonte has led to an impaired driving charge laid by Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP)

Around 4:02, Orillia OPP officers were alerted to Highway 11 Northbound in Oro-Medonte after a traffic complaint.

Officers located a vehicle driving northbound near Line 5 and subsequently pulled the driver over. The traffic stop led to an impaired driving investigation.

The investigation resulted in a 42-year-old from Oakville being charged with impaired driving as well as refusal to comply.

Their license was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded for seven days.
