A portly cat has gone viral after he tried to escape from a weight loss facility.
Kroshik (Russian for “Crumbs”) was at a health facility in Perm, Russia where he was on a strict diet and exercise regimen.
Newsflash media reported the 38-pound feline tried to escape, and wound up getting stuck between the bars of a shoe rack, with his nose nestled into a Croc shoe.
Staff showcased the would-be escape artist “He was extremely displeased when we found him disguised as slippers, but… after a portion of food, he mellowed out.”
Crumbs was discovered a few weeks ago in the basement of a hospital, where staff were feeding him too many tasty treats, and the Matroskin Shelter took him in to get him back in shape.
His routine regularly has him walking in a water tank to alleviate the pressure on his joints.
Although he looked silly, staff say the fact he tried to escape is a good thing, because it shows that Crumbs is actually an active kitty when he can be.
