Provincial police in Orillia have charged a driver in connection to a collision involving an E-bike on Thursday afternoon.

OPP say the incident happened around 4 p.m. at the intersection of Barrie Road and Walker Avenue.

"Upon arrival, officers observed a vehicle with substantial damage and an E-bike on its side with a driver lying beside it," according to a police release on Saturday.

"The male victim, who was operating the E-bike, appeared to be suffering minor injuries and was transported to a local area hospital, where he would be treated and later released."

The driver of the involved vehicle, a 32-year-old man, faces a careless driving charge, police told Barrie 360.
