(Update) Barrie police say a man with a circular tattoo being sought in alleged stabbing of a man and dog

Barrie police say a suspect who is being sought for a stabbing downtown has a circular tattoo on his left arm.

Police provided the update on Tuesday in connection with the incident in which a man and a dog were allegedly stabbed near Dunlop and Owen Streets around 10 p.m. on August 6th. Investigators have said the stabbing happened after an argument began with an unknown male.

The dog was treated for an injury and its owner went to hospital with a stab wound.

Both have since recovered.
