The theft of a pickup truck from the driveway of a Barrie home is being investigated by police.

According to police, the grey 2024 Dodge Ram Sport was parked in the home's driveway in the southwest part of the city around 5 p.m. on Wednesday and was stolen shortly before 2:30 on Thursday morning. The truck has a black hood, tonneau cover, sunroof, and running boards with Ontario licence plate CB25560. Police have access to a nearby home video surveillance system which recorded the theft.

Attempts to locate the truck have been unsuccessful.

Police remind everyone who owns a motor vehicle to ensure that it is locked, valuables are removed, or parked in a garage if possible, and to consider using aftermarket products to secure your possessions.
