The Tim Hortons Holiday Smile Cookie Campaign has once again delivered significant support for the Barrie community.
From November 18-24, 100% of the proceeds from Smile Cookie sales were donated to local charities, with the Barrie Food Bank and Tim Hortons Foundation Camps as this year’s beneficiaries.
The campaign raised an impressive $109,187.43, with $54,593.71 donated to the Barrie Food Bank. These funds come at a critical time as the food bank continues its mission to address the alarming rise in food insecurity in the region.
“This generous donation is a significant boost to our ‘Fill the Gap’ Holiday Campaign as we work toward our goal of raising $1,000,000,” said Karen Shuh, Executive Director of the Barrie Food Bank. “We are incredibly grateful to the Tim Hortons team and everyone who supported the campaign by purchasing Holiday Smile Cookies.”
The funds will help Barrie Food Bank provide much-needed support to the growing number of residents facing food insecurity. In November alone, the food bank recorded a record-breaking 7,468 visits, a number that has doubled in the past two years and tripled since pre-pandemic levels.
“This donation is more than just a financial contribution—it’s a reminder of the community’s compassion,” added Shuh. “Together, we’re creating hope for families and individuals in need.”
The Barrie Food Bank extends its heartfelt thanks to Tim Hortons, local franchise owners, and the entire community for their unwavering support.
