Three men and three women face drug possession and trafficking charges in a bust by Barrie police.

As part of the investigation, a search warrant was executed at a unit in a north end apartment complex on Wednesday and police say a large quantity of cocaine and fentanyl was seized. Two males were arrested on Bayfield Street, at a nearby plaza and shopping mall. Police allege the pair were in possession of drugs when taken into custody and one of them had a loaded handgun.

The suspects were held for a bail hearing.
